This cone shaped reducer can be also be used on machinery with a little help from some other accessories. Typically the reducer works with hose since it is basically the same size as your 4 inch and 2 1/2 inch machinery or shop wet/dry vac ports. With a 4 inch diameter rubber coupler (sold separately) or a short section of 4 inch hose you can connect the reducer directly to a 4 inch port on machines like band saws, table saws, large planers and more..

Thread Size of 6an 45 Degree push lock fitting is 9/16-18UNF and the rubber fuel line which works with should be 3/8"..
Push on locking fittings are much more easier on installation than swivel and PTFE fittings. (high-pressure system not recommended).
